RiverLine Kayak Adventures

Using NJTRANSIT's RiverLine as a shuttle, participants will park at the Bordentown light rail station and then take the train to the Burlington stop.  From there, paddlers will carry their lightweight inflatable kayaks to the Burlington Town Ramp launch site.  After inflating the kayaks and launching into the Delaware River, the paddlers will kayak approximately 10 miles back to their starting location.

Standup Paddleboarding

Standup paddleboarding is the newest paddling craze sweeping the country.  Paddlers use long, single-bladed paddles (kind of like a six-foot long canoe paddle) and stand up on a 10-12 foot long surfboad and paddle it.  It is a great all-body workout and gives the paddler a completely different perspective of the waterway.  After one try, you will be hooked.

D and R Feeder Canal and Delaware River Workout Loop Paddle

This is a great way to have some fun, experience two different waterways running right next to each other, and complete a full-body workout at your own pace.  Paddlers will put-in at the D and R Feeder Canal at the Scudders Falls parking area.  Then they will paddle approximately one mile northwest on the canal before getting out of their boats.  The kayakers will then carry their lightweight inflatable kayaks over the canal's towpath and down a hill to a small creek that feeds into the Delaware River.  Kayakers will then paddle downstream about one mile exiting the river just above the main Scudders Falls' rapids.  Paddlers can then carry their boats back up the access road to the canal launch site.  Kayakers may complete this loop at their own pace over the course of two hours.
